Upon graduation, I plan to pursue a license as a professional counselor.
In order for true change to take place, I believe it is my role as a counselor to collaborate with clients to create attainable goals that will guide them to their desired outcome. My work with clients comes from a Cognitive Behavior Therapy framework, as I believe that much of the work of healing comes from changing negative thought patterns in order to produce positive coping strategies and bring about healthy behavior changes.
Include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, phase of life, and adjustment issues
I work with teens, young adults, and women. My primary focus is adolescent girls.
I felt the strong call to counseling during my teenage years. Throughout college and my transition into early adulthood, that call has been affirmed by God through life changes and seasons full of doubt and uncertainty. Through these trials, I have experienced peace and healing through the transformative power of counseling, and I hope to be a vessel of change for others who are walking through painful seasons as well.
