Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach is focused on helping clients to better understand themselves and how their history has impacted their present. This is an investigative journey that then empowers clients to use certain tools and resources to move forward into the vision that they want for their future. I also approach experiences and beliefs from a trauma lens, utilizing EMDR to reduce distress, regulate nervous system functioning, update neural pathways, and bridge the gap between the brain and body.

Treatment Issues

Everyday life stressors, adjustment and phase of life issues, family dynamics and relationship conflict, premarital counseling, women and parental struggles, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety.

Treatment Population

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. My primary focus is counseling adult individuals and couples.

My Journey

My passion and empathy for others began at a young age and has carried me through life both personally and professionally. I pursued the field of counseling and never looked back. This has led my focus to include working with children in foster care, college students, and grief groups. I value relationships and their impact on our daily life and thus have specialized in couples counseling and family counseling. Having had the opportunity to live and work in Hawaii recently has broadened my horizons to a slew of cultures, experiences, and populations. Overall, I am just honored to listen, hold space for people, and join them in their journey.
