Therapeutic Approach

I approach everyone from a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that your struggles make sense in their context. I primarily utilize a psychodynamic framework in sessions, which focuses on how your relational patterns from your past may be secretly sabotaging your relationships in the present. I incorporate elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which considers the impact of your thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. Creating a safe space for you is of primary importance to me, so I will collaborate with you to see how therapy can best serve you in this current season.

Treatment Issues

My passion is to help people recover from complex trauma, which often stems from previous or current experiences like emotional neglect or abuse, verbal abuse, sexual abuse, and/or physical neglect or abuse. I also enjoy helping people facing issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, relationship issues, men’s issues, spiritual deconstruction/reconstruction.

Treatment Population

I work with adolescents ages 14 and up, adults, and elderly clients. I also serve individuals with high functioning autism.

My Journey

I have been in your spot. I’ve sat across from a therapist, feeling anxious to share my struggles. And I’ve experienced the power of healing that can come from that work. It’s part of what led me to become a therapist myself. It is solely because I have entered into those difficult places in my own life that I am able to enter into those difficult places with other people. Your story matters. I would love to be able to sit with you and hear it.
